The paris attacks decreased 14 reserves in french agencies

The volume of reserves of the French travel agencies fell sharply in January as a result of the dramatic attacks in Paris from Charlie Hebdo and Jewish supermarket. The fall in turnover was 14.1% and 13.7% in the volume of reserves, according to the barometer which produces the French Association of agencies of trips (SNAV) .

By geographic areas, the reserves to French domestic destinations were reduced in January, a 6.3% in number of passengers and a 10.7% in turnover for French agencies. While the medium-distance trips were the ones most suffered, with falls 19.2% and 17% respectively.

Is noteworthy that within the middle distance are the destinations most sensitive to these attacks, such as the countries of North Africa. In fact, Morocco reserves fell by 60% in January, while those aimed at Portugal grew above 40%.

Reservations to destinations of long distance decreased by 13.1% in passenger volume and by 12.8% in turnover, with falls of China and United States and Thailand rise.

Barometer of SNAV is elaborated on the basis of information obtained from 630 travel agencies, for all types of networks, both in sales packages, dynamic packages and loose services.
