Southern and eastern europe recorded biggest global revpar growth in 2015

Hotels in Eastern Europe achieved an increase of revenue per available room RevPar, of the 13.4% in 2015, the highest rate worldwide, followed by the hotel establishments in the South of the continent, with 12.4%, according to data from STR Global report.

Altogether, Europe was the region most favored by profitability, with a rise of 7.1% in this indicator, while that obtained worst result went to hotels in the Middle East with a fall of 4.6%.

Also had significant RevPar increases hotels in the Caribbean, an increase of 7.2%, as well as North America ( 6.3%), North Africa ( 8.5%), South Africa ( 5.6%), Northern Europe ( 5.8%) and Australia ( 4.1%). On the downside are the Southeast Asia (- 1.3%), Northeast Asia (- 0.8%) and Central and South Asia (- 0.6%).

In terms of occupation, with 5.7% increment, highlights Eastern Europe, and with a rise of 4.4% Central and South Asia. However, the higher level of occupation was reached in Northern Europe, reaching 75.9%. In contrast, the lower North Africa, which did not come up 53 per cent did.
