Sales of french agencies fell by 54 in february
The volume of business
of the French travel agencies fell in February 5.4%, in similar way as the passengers (- 5.3%). This decrease occurs after the most radical of 14% from January, which suffered the effect of the attacks in Paris from Charlie Hebdo and Jewish supermarket, according to the barometer which produces the French Association of agencies of trips (SNAV) .
By geographic areas, sales to French domestic destinations were reduced in February, a 4.6%, while the number of bookings grew by 5.3%, which indicates a notable descent price or type of product purchased.
While the medium-distance travel experienced falls of 8.9% and 6.4% in passengers and turnover respectively. Reservations to destinations of long distance decreased by 11.3% in passenger volume and by 4.8% in turnover.
SNAV barometer is made based on the information obtained from 630 travel agencies, for all types of networks, both in sales packages, dynamic packages and loose services.
