Pilots from around the world discussed in madrid the challenges facing aviation
Pilots from around the world will discuss the challenges facing commercial aviation during the 70 Conference of the International Federation of associations of pilots of air lines (IFALPA) held in Madrid until next Monday, April 13.
During the session of opening this Friday, the President of the Spanish Union of pilots of airlines (Sepla), Javier MartÃnez de Velasco, recalled the importance which have associations of pilots, as they provide vision and knowledge to those who write the laws on aviation.
Martinez de Velasco, Commander of Airbus 340 in the Iberia company, has taken advantage of his speech to assert that “the most important and irreplaceable in aviation aviation safety part is a well trained and highly experienced pilot”, paraphrasing the American commander Chesley Sullemberger.
For his part, the President of Iberia, Luis Gallego Martin, has focused his speech on the current “atmosphere of understanding between airlines and employees”, a climate of “confidence and cooperation” that has enabled the expansion of the Spanish airline.
In this regard, stressed “the vital role of pilots” for the operation of the airline and the flight safety. “The pilots are a group of well-trained, professional, and talented”, he stressed.
