Packed in the ski resorts of spain and andorra for easter
Spanish ski resorts have valued very positively the Holy week figures, with occupations of nearly 100% in various destinations of snow, as reported by the ATUDEM Association. Andorra also recorded a marked increase in skiers.
After the Easter holidays, most of the ATUDEM stations have ended the season 2014-2015. However, some have decided to postpone the deadline until the weekend of 11 and 12 April.
“The 2014-2015 ski season could not end better thanks to the bridge of Easter, which this year was held more soon than the last years”, reported the Association of winter stations.
, During Holy week most of the stations were still with large thickness of snow and many kilometres of slopes open.

Ceretana Masella station also appreciates the season. “The numbers have been very positive with a 100% occupancy and an increase of 23% of skiers on the previous year. Good weather in the area has been a determining factor for a great Easter”, explains ATUDEM.
Asturian Valgrande Pajares and Sources of winter stations have ended the campaign of 2014-2015, coinciding with the end of Holy week. Nearly 8,000 skiers enjoyed the snow in one of these stations of the Principado de Asturias.
ATUDEM concludes, “the end of the season has been very positive in almost all cases. Spent the weekend of 11 and 12 April, only the Sierra Nevada and Masella stations will remain open. The Granada station set may 3 as the last of the season, provided the weather permitted”.
on the other hand, Grandvalira Andorra station received between good Friday and Easter Monday a total of 54.036 skiers.
“Compared to the Holy week of last year, the number of skiers has increased in 32.335 people, which represents a 67,11% more that in 2014, while it is true that the holiday has come a little earlier in the calendar, which has favoured the influx to the tracks”, explained GrandValira.
