Gowaii is selling its 20 of wamos
For anyone in the sector are already a secret the differences between Gowaii and Wamos. Just one year after arising as a joint project of J avier DÃaz, CEO of Gowaii (20% stake), and Springwater (61%), the first Fund assures to this newspaper that its participation in Wamos “is on sale”.
Diaz says that 20% of Wamos “for us is not strategic. We have it on sale.” And on the profile of the potential buyer, discarded that Springwater wants to expand its part to 81%: “the first thing, must know how to manage.” And I have many doubts that Springwater knows to manage nothing “.
Diaz adds that “we are having approaches with possible interested in buying that 20% of Wamos, but there is still nothing concrete, we are assessing it. “No hurry, but that’s our intention”.
Remember that at the end of 2013 Gowaii was associated with Springwater to buy the business not of Pullmantur cruises to Royal Caribbean. The group now called Wamos is currently owned by Springwater, which 61% with the majority shareholder, Gowaii (20%) and Royal Caribbean, which maintain a 19%. Springwater and Gowaii, in turn, integrated society Andros totaling 81% of Wamos.
