Expo hotels increases 26 turnover in five years
Expo Hotels & Resorts manages more than 2,900 rooms and employs more than 1,400 people. The chain has recorded a sustained growth in its turnover during the last five years (26%).
The hotel meets four decades of life, consolidating itself as expanding hotel group. Since 1976 with the opening of the Hotel Expo Barcelona, the Group has grown by incorporating new establishments in Barcelona, Valencia, Marbella and Tenerife.
In recent years, moreover, Expo Hotels & Resorts has opened The Oasis by Don Carlos Resort (2013), a unique establishment in the Don Carlos Leisure Resort & Spa in Marbella and has renewed its beach club, the Orange Beach Club (2015).
The company highlights the success of its non-hotel business as Nikki Beach Marbella (establishment owned by the company) or Hard Rock of Tenerife located at Marenostrum Resort (ownership and management of Expo Hoteles & Resorts). “Both businesses have become an example of excellent management at the international level”, indicates.
Expo Hotels & Resorts is a family company of Spanish capital created by Antonio Mestre in 1976 with the construction of the Hotel Expo Barcelona . The current Executive Chairman is Jordi Mestre which, together with Santiago Twose as Vice President and RamÃ³n Borrell as CEO, make up the management team leading the group.
The hotel group has four hotels in Barcelona and Valencia (Expo Hotel Barcelona, Expo Hotel Valencia, Gran Hotel Torre Catalunya and Princesa Sofia Gran Hotel), as well as 2 resorts in Tenerife and Marbella (Mare Nostrum Resort – including the pyramid of Arona and 3 different hotels: Sir Anthony, Cleopatra Palace Hotel Mediterranean Palace Hotel – and Don Carlos Leisure Resort & Spa – The Oasis including by Don Carlos Resort and the Deluxe) Villas by Don Carlos Resort).
