Enterprise acquires a company of car sharing in united kingdom
Car rental Enterprise Rent-A-Car company has announced the acquisition of City Car Club, a United Kingdom car sharing company. The amount of the transaction has not been revealed.
Should target enterprise it had created its own subsidiary for the segment of car pooling, under the brand name Entreprise CarShare.
Through the acquisition of City Car Club, Enterprise expects to now take advantage of the “rapid growth” that is experiencing the phenomenon of car sharing, both companies and individuals.
“The agreement covers all the assets of City Car Club, including its more than 800 vehicles, 45 employees and 30,000 members. Their vehicles are available to members 24 hours a day, seven days a week in 17 cities in the United Kingdom “, as reported by Entreprise.
In the short term, the companies Enterprise CarShare and City Car Club will continue to operate as two separate brands, “to create an entity in the future”.
“Enterprise wants to provide all varieties of mobility and car sharing is one part increasingly important combination, particularly in cities“, explained the company.
