Costa blanca led the hotel employment growth in february

Costa Blanca is leading the growth of the tourism employment linked to the hospitality industry during the month of February 2015. The area also encompasses almost two-thirds of all workers employed in the Valencian Community, while the provinces of Castellón and Valencia as a whole collected 38% of employment.

According to the HOSBEC Monitor, developed by the Association business hotel in Benidorm, Costa Blanca and Valencia (HOSBEC), February has been a very interesting month for the hotel business in the Valencian Community. Benidorm remains the main point of tourism in Valencian Community, since 45% of overnight hotel stays of the month have been in this municipality. Along with the rest of the Costa Blanca is two-thirds of all the hotel business community.

The largest number of overnight stays made is relevant if we consider that the open accommodation offer was lower than the last year. That means that half of the open settlements occupations have improved by the concentration of larger number of overnight stays in fewer places.

In the G20 ranking of Spanish tourist destinations with the largest number of overnight hotel stays, Benidorm ascends a position to the post number 5 during the month of February, but continues to be the number 1 in the peninsula vacation destination. On this occasion, Benidorm ahead of the Canarian municipality of Pájara.

The best results in revenue per room available in the Valencian Community are given in the 4 star hotels in Benidorm with 36,33 €, while the highest average room rate is found in the 4 star hotels of the Costa Blanca with 57.45 €.
