Convened to strike more than 2000 employees of swissport

CCOO has called several days of stoppages in the company of handling Swissport Spain during the months of March and April before the blockade of the negotiation of the collective agreement, as reported by the Trade Union which is the majority in the company. The call for the strike affects more than 2,000 workers from the airports of Barcelona – El Prat, Alicante, Almeria, Malaga, Jerez, Fuerteventura and the Madrid cargo terminal.

CCOO said in a release that the points that currently block the negotiation are the salary increase, the maintenance of employment and issues such as the fractional day and scheduling of holidays, the Union deemed “indispensable”, so calls the company “a commitment that allows to reach an agreement”.

Swissport is licensed in nine airports ramp – Madrid-Barajas, Malaga, Jerez, Almería, Barcelona – El Prat, Valencia, Alicante, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, to which are added 12 Spanish airports more, including Bilbao, Tenerife Sur and Las Palmas, where it provides services after acquiring the Servisair company in December 2013.

Days of 24 hours and partial stoppages

specifically summoned stoppages, for 24 hours, extends to 12 days from 1 to 20 March and four days in April (3, 4, 5 and 6 April) at the airport of Barcelona – Prat.

In the Barajas airport cargo terminal, is held four days of stoppages in March (6, 13, 20 and 27 from 3 p.m. hours until 21.00 hours) and 3 April (15.00 to 21.00 hours).

Moreover, at Malaga airport has summoned 8 days of ducks from 18.00 hours at 8 p.m. hours and five others in March from 10.00 hours 12.00 hours. Also, on 3 and 4 April from 6 p.m. hours to 20.00 hours and day 5 April, from 10 a.m. until 12.00 hours hours.

In Almería airport, will stop on March 4 (9.00 to 17.30 hours), on 10 and 28 March (9.00 to 21.00 hours hours), 14 March (12.00 to 14.30 hours), 19 March (8.00 to 21.00 hours hours), the 23 March (9.00 14.30 hours hours) and 31 March (9.00-20.00 hours) and on April 6 (9.00 14.30 hours hours).

At the airport of Alicante, called stoppages will affect five days of March (2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 of March from 12.00 am to 5 pm) and April 6 (from 12.00 to 17.00 hours).

Finally in Jerez Airport stops on 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 March (12.00-17.00 hours) and on 6 April (12 hours to 17.00 hours), while nine days of 24-hour stoppages have been called at the airport of Fuerteventura (2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 38 and 30 March and 4 and 6 April).
