Brazil business tourism moved 11030 m in 2011

The crisis in Europe and the United States, according to the study, has influenced the increase of the business tourism in Brazil, as in other Latin American countries such as Mexico, Colombia and Dominican Republic, as it has been found in the Latin-American meeting of corporate travel (Lacte, for its acronym in English).

Those more than 11,000 million euros correspond to the invoicing of the airlift, spending on hotels and car hire in this type of displacement in 2011; but if we add to that the indirect expenditure, the figure rises to 47,500 million reais (20.800 million euros).

Only in the air transport business trips accounted for almost 57% of activity total, similar to the previous year, with a turnover of 13 billion reais (approximately 5.670 million euros).

The number of jobs created by this segment in 2011 was 676.000, number that is expected to increase this year by 4% to stand at 703.000 workers.
