Boost bookings to egypt from germany
Egypt has recovered strongly in the German market by 2015, with a boost of reservations at travel agencies, as it has revealed the engine Traveltainment, owned by Amadeus.
Holidays with flights to Hurghada reserves increased 54% in February, compared with the previous year, after an increase of 52% in January, from 35% in December and 22% in November. For his part, Marsa Alam shows an increase of reserves of 38%.
Hurghada was the third airport of destination most oft for vacation packages from Germany last month, with one 10% booking fee, while Marsa Alam also entered the top 10 gaining 2%.
Turkey also had a good performance in February, after the weak start of the year to start. Reservations towards Antalya grew 14% against the fall of 12 percent in January. As a result, the Turkish Riviera maintains a share of 31% on the German market of packages.
However, the demand to Greece was softened in February, after several months of growth. Packages to Crete fell 8%, which maintained a share of 4%.
Tunisia also had decrease in February, 20% in packages to Enfidha airport, followed by the fall of 24% in January. The airport fell to ninth place with 3% of participation.
Meanwhile Spain, remained in very good position in the reserves for Majorca and the Canary Islands. Reservations towards Palm grew 12% assuming a 26% share in German packages market, while Fuerteventura rose by 6%, 7%, South Tenerife Las Palmas reef 9% and 6%.
Traveltainment system is used by 11,000 German agencies for 130 tour operators vacation packages reservations, while its engine over the internet is used by more than 350 agencies online and portals. In total, Amadeus subsidiary processes 250,000 reservations a month.
