Air europa joins the latin american association and of the caribbean air transport
Air Europa has become Member of the Latin American Association and the Caribbean air transport (high) as associate airline, stressing that “this union is a step more in his vocation for being the reference company to fly between Europe and America, and the Caribbean”.
“Latin America and the Caribbean are strategic areas for our company. Therefore, it was necessary to take this step that puts us in the middle of this important geography in the world airline industry “, said the general director of Air Europe, MarÃa JosÃ© Hidalgo, stressing that”the membership of high will provide many benefits to our passengers, becoming an even more competitive airline”.
Welcome to Air Europe, ALTA, Eduardo Iglesias, executive director has highlighted the fact that “a Spanish company, which operates flights to our region, share our objectives and goals“.
Also pointed out that Latin America and the Caribbean have become a reference region for its traffic growth and a wide range of world-class competitors. “Air Europa is one of them promoting rapprochement between Spain, Europe and America. We look forward to witnessing its growth in our region and contribute to the better development of the commercial aviation industry”.
Preparing the fleet
Air Europa has a fleet of 45 aircraft, comprising 11 Embraer 195, 20 Boeing 737-800 and 14 Airbus 330-200, these latest comprise its fleet for the long radio.
But recently its Executive Chairman, Juan JosÃ© Hidalgo, officially announced the acquisition of 22 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, eight B787-8 model and 14 of the B787-9 (see: Air Europa to buy 14 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner by more than 3,000 M €) which will be incorporated to the company’s fleet between 2016 and 2022, and will open new routes to almost all the capitals of Latin America such as AsunciÃ³n, BogotÃ¡, or city of Mexico.
