Air europa begins the path to miami with the b 787 dreamliner
Air Europe, air company Globalia, has made this Monday the inaugural flight of its route between Madrid and Miami, operated with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. A route that initially has five weekly flights, but it will become daily from the month of July.
The inauguration has been in Barajas with symbolic inaugural ribbon cutting, which along with the President of Globalia and Air Europa, Juan JosÃ© Hidalgo, was the director of the European Centre for r & d of Boeing, JosÃ© Enrique RomÃ¡n.
“Started today not only a new route, but also a new way of traveling with Air Europa. “The 787 that will take us to Miami–said Hidalgo – represents the latest technology in air transport and represents a substantial increase of comfort for the traveler, in terms of space, silence and time, since this aircraft saves 40 minute flight each way”.
“This is just a sample of what will be the fleet of long distance Air Europe, starting next year, when they begin to get the 22 planes of this model we have acquired – he added-. Our company follows therefore, faithful to its tradition of always operate with the best fleet available in each moment”.
The Boeing representative, JosÃ© Enrique RomÃ¡n, recalled that “this aircraft consumes 20 percent less fuel and generate less emissions than any other aircraft of similar size”. “From the shape and size of the wings up to the design of the Waffle-Cone, everything in it contributes to make it more aerodynamic,” said.
Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which will operate the route Madrid-Miami, now has 252 seats, of which 18 are business class, fully convertible into beds, and 21 of the new Premium Economy class.
With the addition of this first Dreamliner, the Air Europe fleet is made up of 46 aircraft with an average age of just four years. Of them, 14 are Airbus 330 from long distance, while radio on medium and short flights are operated by 20 Boeing 737-800 and 11 Embraer 195.
